Graf and Chris Zahariev turn the song "Black Granite" into a film story shot on 16mm film stock

"Black Granite" is Graf's new single, accompanied by a video shot on 16mm film - a creative choice that sees the team consciously return to the authentic look of cinema.

The song is set to music by Graf and Denis Popstoev, with lyrics by Nika and arrangement by Popstoev. The vocals of the Fida trio bring a sense of timelessness and ethnic sound. Stylistically, the track fits into the current wave of "garagepop" - combining a nostalgic softness with a fresh, contemporary energy.

From the first listen to Graf's new album Synergy, Chris Zahariev imagines the song "Black Granite" as a short summer movie - vivid, warm and natural. It was this that inspired Graf and the Monte Productions team to choose "Black Granite" as their next single.

"When viewers watch the video, I hope they feel that youthful carefree spirit that reminds us that even when life throws us surprises, things fall into place," Chris says. And Graffa adds, "The song has an interesting mix of light, romance and depth - that's exactly what we wanted to capture."

The main roles are played by Lidiya Vassileva and Martin Metodiev, who build the characters with natural presence and nuance. The cinematographer is Boris Kalaidjiev, and the analogue format gives the footage a special softness and unadulterated quality.

The project was realized by Monte Productions, with the assistance of Ford Bulgaria and Moto-Pfohe, who provided logistics and comfort during the filming.

"Black Granite" will also be played at Graf's big concert at Arena 8888 - November 13, 2025.
